Daughters of the Mayflower Universe
In late 1990, I began to dream of walking across a dry sea bed trying to get home. I was young in this dream and so terrified that I wouldn't make it back to my family in time.
This wandering persisted almost nightly until I wrote down the few details of the experience I could remember.
The series of dreams continued, telling the story out of order and backwards. I saved each scene separately and pieced them together later.
Karine wasn't thrilled to tell her full story at first, but eventually, she opened up. Her recollection often traces the rosy outcomes of her choices back to the beginning of her struggles.
This is the first book of three, taking her story of a comfortable life to the struggle of survival on a hostile planet.
Written for the Young Adult audience, this dystopian romance of around 80,000 words addresses more adult themes but does not contain graphic sexual content or graphic violence.
